Involvement Timeline - Eva Simmons

  • 06/28/1914

    Franz Ferdinand and his wife visit Sarajevo in Bosnia. On their way a bomb is thrown at their "auto" but misses. They continue their trip un-phased but then are shot. Effect on America: Across the ocean there's two assassination's to be cautious about.
  • British troops land in France

    The first British troops land in France. Effect on America: War is beginning.
  • Great Britain and France

    Great Britain and France declare war on Austria-Hungary. Serbia is invaded by Austria-Hungary. Effect on America: War is beginning.
  • Battle of the Marne starts

    Paris is saved as French and British troops disrupt the Schlieffen Plan by launching a major counter-offensive against the invading German armies. Effect of America: America's uninvolved at this point but will later be brought into the situation.
  • British Air Raid

    The first ever British air raid against Germany occurs as Zeppelin bases at Cologne and Dusseldorf are bombed. Effect on America: Dangerous across the ocean could get involved.
  • Erich von Falkenhayn

    Kaiser Wilhelm appoints Erich von Falkenhayn as the new chief of the German General staff. Effects on America: Could have something against america.
  • France and Britain

    France and Britain declare war on the Ottoman Empire. Effects on America: One of the countries could try and form an alliance with America and they get involved.
  • German Naval Base

    The German Naval Base at Tsingtao is captured by the Japanese, aided by a British and Indian battalion. Effects on America: America could somehow be involved especially with alliances.
