The End of The Game
The group try to climb the mesa, but Lisse stumbles and falls down, hurting herself. Before she touches the ground, she blacks out and the group all wake up in the Game Room on the couches they'd lay down on to be transported into the game. Apparently, if someone gets hurt, The Game ends. -
See a Sterilization Ad
On their way back from the The Game, they see an ad for sterilization of the unemployeds (pictured) on the bus. They realize the situation is even more grave than they thought it was. -

Preparation for The Game
The group decide that their goal is to 'beat' The Game, so they start preparing. They excercise by running around the DA, and learn karate from Katie. They plan on trying to bring some supplies to The Game to assist them. -

The group find out that they can't bring anything into The Game either, meaning that every time they go into The Game, they have to start from scratch with nothing in their posession. -
Rich Arrives
When they get home, they realize that Rich, a classmate, has arrived. He says that his job was robotized, making him an unemployed. The group allows him to live with them, but only if he helps out. -
Speak to the Game Manager
The next time the group arrive in Barton Oaks, they immediately request to speak with the Game Manager. They explain that they need to bring items into the Game to even have a chance of success. The Game Manager declines, because “to allow outside materials into The Game would upset the balance, skew the success-probability.” -
Second Invitation to The Game
After Rich arrives, they receive another invitation to the game, including Rich's invitation and another one labeled Benta which is the name of Lisse's close classmate. -
Benta Arrives
Soon after, Benta also arrives and joins the group, having her farm also taken over. She brings with her some food and supplies from the farm. -
Go to The Game Again
The group plus Benta and Rich head to The Game. It is different from the first time the group went. They explain everything they figured out to Benta and Rich about The Game and they contribute their knowledge to help them survive. This time, they survive through the night before the wake up for no apparent reason. Also, they see another group and tell them that it's different for everyone. -
Go to The 'Real' Game
The group is invited to The Game once again, arriving in a kind of egg. This time they are able to get sick, hungry, and hurt. They have to learn to survive without knowing when or if they'll wake up. Lisse gets sick and Rich helps out by making medicine, and many other natural problems arise. -
