John Kay

James watt

James Hargreaves
Born 1720 and died in 1778.He invented the spinny jenny in 1764;this is a multi spindle spinning frame and it's still used today in the hobby industry. -
Richard Arkwright
Born 1732 and died 1792.Invented the spinning frame in 1768 this invention is powered by water.The spinning frame is no longer used today. -
Samuel Compton
Born in 1753 and died in 1827.Invented the spinning mule in 1779 this was used to crossbreed female horses with male donkeys.This invention is no longer used today -
Richard Trevithick
Born in 1771 and died in 1833.He was the first invent the steam locomotive this invention is a type of railway that produces its pulling power through a steam engine.This is still used today but just improved. -
George Stephenson
Born in 1781 and died in 1848.He created the steam locomotive a year after Richard Trevithick in 1803. -
Robert Fulton
Born in 1765 and died in 1815.Invented the steam boat in 1807.The steam boat was used to carry supplies across water and this invention is still used today. -
Henry Bessemer
Born in 1813 and died in 1898.He manufactured steel in 1856 and he did this inexpensively.This is still important and used today. -

Born in 1822 and died in 1895.He invented pasteurization in 1864 and this showed if food was spoiled or not by using microorgansims.We still use this today. -
