The iPod itself allowed users to import audio CDs into digital audio files and allow them to customize their digital music collection. 1000 songs were able to be imported onto the iPod This invention paved the path for future hand-held music devices and it eventually led to the creation of the first iPhone.

    The first Blu-ray Disc was created by the Blu-ray Disc Association, this company was a consortium of other companies like Sony. The Blu-ray Disc itself is a disk that can store several hours of high-quality/definition video. The disk also has the ability to hold 25 GB per layer and playback/rewrite. These disks often contained movies and games. The purpose of Blu-ray was to replace the standard DVD by adding better features.

The Wii was a low-cost console that allowed users to engage in multiple-party games. The purpose of the Wii was to be a console that directly support Internet connectivity. This feature supported several game types. This release boosted Nintendo in the video game world.
