    Robert Fulton invented the Steamboat in mid 1807 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The steamboat greatly revolutionized the transport industry because people could now move upstream while transporting goods. Without the steamboat people would have to walk back upstream after floating down with the current. The steamboat is no longer in use today. They have been replaced by boats with internal combustion engines.

    The Erie Canal was created in 1825 in Michigan. The Erie Canal made it easier for people to transport goods from the great lakes to the ocean and vice versa. The Erie Canal is still in use today.

The Reaper hepled farmers even more than the steel plow to plow their fields with. This exact model of the mechanical reaper is not still in use today, but a more modern version is still breing used.

    The Steel Plow was invented by John Deer in Illinois in the year 1837. This innovated the way things were done on the farms. People were able to finish their work quicker and easier. More modern versions of this steel plow are still bieng used, but not this exact design.

    Samuel Morse invented the telegraph in July of 1840 somewhere in New York along with his invention of the Morse code. This new invention gave the world a whole new way to communicate with eachother. The telegraph is no longer used today with all the advancements in technology.

    Samuel Morse invented this code in the mid 1840s in New York as a way to talk to people with his invention of the telograph. This system of dots and lines made it possible to communicate with the invention of the telograph. This language died along with the Telograph due to advancements.

    Vulcanized Rubber was invented by Charles Goodyear in June of 1844 in Springfield Massachusettes. This was invented when he decided to take the sulfur out of the rubber he created from trees sap. The removal of the sulfur made the rubber last year round. This process also made the rubber not dry out as easily. This is still used very much today. This invention helps everyone get around in their cars without having to worry about their tires,

    Elias Howe invented the sewing machine in 1834 around his hometown of spencer, maryland. This impacted american society in a couple ways. it greatly reduced the need for people to sew clothes which lead to an increase in unemployment. This sewing machine made it very easy to sew cloth together to make products. A modernized version of the sewing machine is still being used today.
