Eli Witney invted interchangeable paerts which allowed workers to cut metal objects in an identical fasion. This invention was the start if mass productioon which also made many other products. -
National Roads
Albert Gallatin came up with the idea of national roads, they were built from Maryland to Virgina. National Roads allowed people to move about the country easier and aided with the settlement of new areas. -
Steamboats
Robert Fulton invented the steamboats. They were powered y steam rather than water wheels. This invention helped with easier and faster tranportation and new cities developed such as St. Louis, which caused westward expansion. -

It helped improbe transportation into the interior and beyond the great physical barrier.This invention helped the population grow more in the rual villages. -
Lowell Mills
Francis Cabot Lowell created the lowell mills making job opportunites increase for young, unmarried women and gave a chance for education; put some workers in danger. -
Steel Plow
John Deere was the inventor of the steel plow which made it easier and faster to farm. The steel plow was a light weight plow with a sturdy steel blade designed for heavier soils. It increased farming production and expansion of farms into the midwest od the U.S. -
Telegraph
Samuel F. B. Morse proved that signals could be transportede be wire. He also invented the morse code. The telegraph sent messages across the country much faster than by horse back. -
Sewing Machine
Eli Howe invented the sewing machine to make sewing more efficent and have the process that used thread from two different sources. This invention has made sewing faster and more effecient so that the manufactures could produce more goods. -
Transcontinental Railroad
Central Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad crated this. The Transcontinetal Railroad connected from the Alantic to the Pacific coast. It improved transportation for goods and people for they would be connected as they moved west.
