Con: Addicting, distracting, hard to block every website that you don't want younger kids to read, easy for sexual predators to contact and decieve anyone. -
Electronic book (E-book)
Pros: If you are a huge book reader, the overall cost can be cheaper, because online books cost less than a real one, easy to bring a lot of books when travelling because it is in one spot, takes up less room than actual books do.
Cons: Hard to read outdoors, cannot read on a beach incase it gets too hot, wet, etc., the actual E-book is expensive. -
Mobile Phones
Pro: Easy way to stay connected to friends, good for parents to check up on their kids if they're not home, good way to send reminders, quick questions, etc.
Con: Very addicting, especially for teenagers. Causes teens to shy away from family, because they would rather waste time texting, playing games, etc. -
Digital Camera
Pro: Easy to take quick pictures with good quality, easy to stow if smaller, great way to capture memories.
Con: Better quality costs more, can be stolen easily, broken easily, battery life can sometimes not last as long, you have to bring extra batteries around with you. -
Graphing Calculator
Pro: Helps students work out math problems and graphs and helps teachers be able to show students how to solve certain problems easier.
Con: Enables students to have a greater ability to cheat on tests, homework, etc. If the calculator has games, it can distract students. -
Webcam
Pro: When family or friends are gone, you can see them with a video chat system.
Con: Increases possibilities for sexual predators online. -
iPod
Pro: Easy way to listen to music, watch videos, play apps, etc.
Con: Can make you become seclusive when working out, running, etc, rather than talking to a friend. -
Facebook
Pro: Great and instant way to connect with friends and family, see what other people are doing, share photos and videos, and chat with people.
Con: Fake accounts, you can post anything, sometimes everything isn't hidden, and you can get hacked. -
PlayStation 3
Pro: Fun and interactive to use.
Con: It becomes addicting and too big of a priority
