June 28, 1919 Treaty of Versailles signed
On June 28, 1919, The treaty of versailles was a treaty which tried to prevent another war. The treaty was signed by all major parties in the war, but Germany got the short of the end of the stick getting reprimanded. Getting there boundaries re-worked, getting there colonies stripped, having there armed forces reduced which they found not fair so while they said they were agreeing to the treaty they where secretly increasing military prowess. -
1920 League of Nations established
The year of 1920, The league of Nations was created with the main goal to keep world peace which didn’t end up happening. As they stated their primary goals preventing wars through collective disarmament and settling international disputes. Woodrow Wilson was the president and had those goals in mind to keep world peace. -
1925 Benito Mussolini takes power in Italy
Year 1925 saw the rise of Benito Mussolini as the dictator of Italy. With political turmoil and fascist parties like the black shirt party marching the streets, Benito presented himself as the only Person capable to lead the country, so the King Victor Emmanuel invited him to form a government. Benito ruled from 1922 - 1943 as Prime minister but dropped the party in 1925 becoming the dictator of Italy for new 20 years Before dying on April 28, 1945. -
Oct 1929 Stock Market crash in the USA
The Stock market crash had plenty of different factors but all lead to the same result, ending in more than 30 percent of the working force losing their jobs. Banks putting deposits on risk on the stock market, giving out unprotected loans and high interest rates all lead to the crash of the stock market. -
1931 Japan invades Manchuria
Japan invades China because they thought that China was sabotaging their railway. So they attacked a Chinese Army that just executed a Japanese spy. Despite being attacked the Chinese army didn’t fight back because they knew that Japan just wanted a reason to attack.
