The First religious Crusade
The First religious Crusade was preached in 1095 by Pope Urban II at the Council of Clermont with the dual aim of helping the Eastern Orthodox Christians and the liberation of Jerusalem "Holy Land" of the Muslim yoke. Actually, it was not a single movement, but a series of acts of war with religious inspiration which included the Crusade of the Poor and the Crusade of the Nobles. -

Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who organised the Spanish expedition to the East Indies from 1519 to 1522, resulting in the first circumnavigation of the Earth. Magellan was selected by King Charles I of Spain to search for a westward route to the Maluku Islands (the "Spice Islands").he headed south through the Atlantic Ocean to Patagonia, passing through the Strait of Magellan into a body of water he named the "peaceful sea" (the modern Pacific Ocean). -

French Army Captain Cugnot was one of the first to haiploy successfully a device for converting the reciprocating motion of a steam piston into rotary motion by means of a ratchet arrangement. A small haision of his three-wheeled fardier à vapeur ("steam dray") ran in 1769. -

In 1970 the IUOTO assenbly voted in favor of forming the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) that came into operation in 1974. Although the UNWTO was related to United Nations since it´s beginning, only in 2003 they established the UNWTO as a Specialized UN´s Agency. -
Dissolution of URSS.
On 8 December 1991, the presidents of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus (formerly Byelorussia), signed the Belavezha Accords, which declared the Soviet Union dissolved and established the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in its place. While doubts remained over the authority of the accords to do this, on 21 December 1991, the representatives of all Soviet republics except Georgia signed the Alma-Ata Protocol, which confirmed the accords. -

The name "euro" was officially adopted in Madrid on 16 December 1995. The first step in the introduction of the new currency was officially made on 1 January 1999, when ceased to exist as independent systems Coins eleven countries of the Union who accepted the plan of the single currency , the called euro zone : Austria, Belgium, Spain , Finland, France, Ireland , Italy , Luxembourg , the Netherlands and Portugal. -

Virgin Galactic Space Tourism
The company Virgin Galactic currently has 475 client reservations worldwide. In 2012 many companies have proposed to start tourist trips into space. If they suceed or not remains to be seen and it´s founder Sir Richard Branson and owner of the company Virgin Galactic said the first trip would take place soon. -
