Why is it called 911?
Remember that the replacement for the Porsche 356 was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show as Porsche 901. And in 1964, when it arrived on the market, it was renamed 911.The official reason is that Peugeot had registered all commercial names with a zero in the middle, and Porsche changed it to 911. -
