Illness discovered
In 1918 the illness was discovered, people though that it harmless but they started to notice that people that caught the disease would feel good by the morning and die by night. Also they wouldn't just die from the disease they would attract other diseases since their immune system was weak due to the pandemic flu. -
Pandemic " Spanish flu"
The Spanish flu killed over half of million of people in a couple of weeks just in the United States but it was affecting the whole world so in total there were about 50 million deaths -
Mortality
In 1919 doctors and scientists found out that the disease was mortal, people even said that the pandemic flu killed more people than in World War 2. Mainly adults were the one dying around the age of 20-50 years old. -
Influenza Vaccine
In 1938 Jonas Salk and Thomas Francis finally came up with a cure to the Pandemic flu also creating a vaccine against flu viruses, even though it was first used only on the military it was beneficial for the whole world. -
New flu appearance
Also known as the Russian flu was a new type of flu that damaged Russia in a strong way even though it was similar to the Hong Kong's flu this type of flue was stronger and it would cause fatality way faster. -
Influenza Today
The flu still affect today , making us catch cold, fevers and just the regular flu, even though it's not as harmful as the ones that used to affect the world decades ago , it's still influenza it would put our immune system at a low level and make us catch a stronger disease that's why most of us get a vaccine once a year to prevent it.
