Infant (Age:1-3 Months)
A term used to refer to a child from birth through the first year of life. Motor Skills- Does not control body movements. -
Age: 4 Months
Cognitive Skills- Smiles and coos when caregiver talks to him or her. -
Age 5-6 Months
Social-Emotional Skills- May be able to play peek-a-boo. Enjoys palying with children. -
Age:7-8 Months
Gross-Motor- Like to bounce when in standing position -
Age:9 Months
Fine-Motor Skills- Uses finger to to point, lead, and poke. -
Age:10 Months
Physical Skills- Likes to walk holding caregiver's hands. -
Age:11 Months
Social Sklills- Is more aware of and sensitive to other children. -
Age: 1 Year
Emotional Skills- Shows increased negativism. May have tantrums.
