  • Smelting of Iron in Coalbrookdale, England

    Occurred when Abraham Darby found a way to smelt iron by putting and coke in a blast furnace and then pushed air into the furnace. This allowed for the furnace at a much higher temperature. Then they mixed with limestone and water and smelting it with coke, allowed for the creation of cast iron.
