Spinning Jenny
Invented by James Hargreaves, it allowed one person to spin many threads at once. This allowed for increased production of clothes and other items composed of thread. -
Water Frame
Invented by Richard Arkwright, the water frame produced yarn faster. This machine was able to produce a thread stronger than any other at the time. -
Steam Engine
Thomas Savery's invention used steam power an engine. This was used to drain water and raise coal from mines. -
Cromptons Mule
Combined the Spinning Jenny and Water Frame, ivented by Samuel Crompton. Large amounts of strong yarn were produced from this. -
Manchester Mill
Manchester Mill orders 400 power looms. As a result,workers burn down mill in fear of losing their jobs. -

Everyone under 18, and all women were only allowed to work a maximum of 10 hours a day. Kids now started to see the importance of school.
