Conditions on the ships were horrible so the slavers would try to keep the slaves healthy and alive. Sailors were constantly worried about slaves rebelling against them. Most of the slaves were sold by not only the Europeans but other Africans. -

Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade
Slaves are people who are the property of another person.
During the slave trades Europeans would trade goods, like weapons and alcohol for slaves. The slavers would sail to the America's, keeping them alive and healthy as possible, selling them to other slavers at auctions, usually selling the best slaves for higher prices. The slaves would work in factories making: cotton, sugar, tobacco, etc. Which then would be sent to Europe and sold. The cycle would repeat itself until the 1800's. -
Steam Engine
The inventor of the steam engine was Thomas Savery. the steam engine created steam which helped power things like trains. It revolutionized the way people created thing like cotton. -
Water Frame
The water frame was invented by Richard Arkwright. The water frame helped by making cotton threads faster. The machine did not need skilled workers, so jobs were open for people which were unskilled. -
Cotton Gin
The cotton gin was invented by Eli Whitney. The gin could produce cotton in bulks which helped make cotton easier and faster to produce. -

Lord Shaftesbury, tried to make working conditions in factories for children and only for children working in factories, he did not care about the homeless children. -
Abolition of Slavery in the British Empire
After Wilberforce retired from the Parliament in 1825, he continued his fight to free the slaves. In 1833 slavery was finally abolished in the British Empire -
Telegraph
the telegraph was invented by Samuel Morse. the telegraph would send messages by Morse Code. The telegraph made it easier for armies and things to communicate. -
Mines Act
The Mines Act, was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It banned all women and children under the age of ten to work in underground coal mines. The Commission was lead by Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 7th Earl of Shaftesbury. -
10 Hours Act
The Parliament passed a bill which limited the workday to ten hours for women and children who worked in factories. This caused a chain of events in the United States as reformers and unions banded together to form the National Child Labor Committee, which would end child labor. -
Telephone
The telephone was invented by Alexander Bell. The telephone helped people communicate with each other without having to leave the house. -
Automobile
The automobile is considered to be invented by Karl Benz. The automobile can take people from place to place much faster than the average horse and would do so more efficiently. It made things easier for people to go to other places and created jobs for mass-production. -

Alfred Nobel invented dynamite. Dynamite would make it easier to mine. Dynamite influenced society by making mining easier. Nobel's invention made producing explosives cheaper and safer with fewer accidents and deaths -

The radio was invented by Nikola Tesla. The radio played peoples voices. It helped society by letting people know what is happening without having to leave the house -

the aeroplane was invented by the Wright Brothers, Wilbur and Orville. the aeroplane could fly making travelling to other cities and countries easier and faster than a boat -

The inventor of the television was Philo Taylor Farnsworth. The television entertains people, show the news and other things.
