    The First Spnning Mill
The first spinning mill was made by Samuel Slater, an englishman, who got the idea from many factories in Britain and and England. The machines worked on water power which meant that the New England States were a good place to start the factories on the river front. The spinning mill is now not being used like they were back then. Instead, more modernized machines are making clothes and cloth. Some machines aren't even being used at all today.
  • Locomotive

Since not all cities or towns or states had access to water, the locomotive was created. Richard Trevithick introduced the locomotive in 1803 which was a sream engined train that could carry shipments. They named the new lolcomothive the "Tom Thumb".
Trains are used today all around the world and are very popular. Not only they are used for shipments but for people traveling. This was a great invention because it is a way that people or objects can travel.
  • Steamboat

    Steamboat
Robert Fulton invented a steamboat that was strong and fast to move heavy machinery. Dissapointingly, the steamboat couldn't go up the Mississippi River.
Steamships are used a lot nowadays. They are stronger and more tough than they were many years ago though. Steamboats help by shipping things from one place to another.

    Mechanical Reaper
In 1834, the Mechanical Reaper was invented by Cyrus McCormick. This helped increase farming and producing agricultural produce. The reaper cut ripe grain which made everything go faster.
The Mechanical Reaper isn't used today but was replaced by a machine that does more at once than the reaper did. Although it has been replaced, the reaper changed farming from doing work by hand and transitioning to machine work.
  • Telegraph

    Telegraph
In 1837, Samuel F. B. Morse created the telegraph. The telgraph was used to send messages but were in code and could be translated into english. This was a great invention because it could send news to people and everyone became closer as a nation.
Some telgraphs today are being used for the blind so they can feel the writing on the paper and translate it into a language. Telegraphs are also used for other types of communication but has mostly been outruled by other communicating devices.
