Irsay Family
Robert Irsay bought the Baltimore Colts. In 1984 he relocated the team to Indianapolis. Irsay died Jan. 14 1997. His son, Jim, had a legal battle with his stepmother over who would own the team. Jim assumed day-to-day management with the role of senior executive vice president, general manager, and chief operating officer in April 1996. Manning Era
Peyton Manning was drafted first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts from the University of Tennessee. Manning won Super Bowl XLI with the Colts in 2006. Lucas Oil Stadium
Lucas Oil Stadium is the new home of the Colts. The stadium is known as the "house that Manning built" and cost $720 million to build. Lucas Oil Stadium hosted Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. Lucas Oil Stadium replaced the RCA dome. Luck Era
Andrew Luck was drafted number one overall in the 2012 NFL Draft from Stanford University. In his second NFL season, the Colts hired Luck's offensive coordinator from Stanford to the same position with the Colts.
