Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in New Delhi, India on October 2, 1869. He was a Hindu. -
Gandhi Gets Married
Gandhi gets married at the age of 13 to Kasturba Gandhi. They both had 4 children and sadly she died in 1944 of chronic bronchitis which was caused by pnemonia. (I do not know the exact date of their wedding) -
National Congress Formation
2 men formed the Indian National Congress and the Congress party is formed. They worked really hard to make independence with Britain. Gandhi's grandfather dies (december 19). -
Studying in Britain
He left and went to England to study law. It was hard for him to adjust but he ended up doing fine. -
British Laws Against Indians
The British are making the Indians register all their information (name, age etc.) and have a card with their fingerprints. Gandhi convinces them to not give their fingerprints to the government. -
Hartal Movement
Gandhi organized the hartal--suspension of 3-activity for a day against the Rowlatts. -
WW1 Ends
After WW1 ended and the indian nationalists returned home, they thought that Britain would leave them alone and let them be free but they didn't. -
British Laws
The british now have the power to arrest whomever they want and not give them a chance to be proven innocent if they are suspected guilty. (Hartal Movement) -
Clothing Arrangment
Gandhi starts to convince people that they should start to make their own clothes instead of buying them -
Fasting
Mahatma Gandhi started fasting so his people could top the fighting and they did. This made him go into trial and sentenced for 6 years -
Arrestion
Gandhi was arrested and sentenced 6 years of jail for sedation and was released 2 years later -
Indian National Congress
Gandhi becomes president of Indian National Congress (date not specified) -
Declaration Of Independence
Gandhi published the Indian declaration of independence also known as the Purna Swaraj declaration -

Starts the “Quit India movement” which was a civil disobedience movement against Britain -

Indian independence is official. India and Pakistan separate on August 14 -
Gandhi's Death
Gandhi is assasinated by a muslim while they were about to pray. -
