Nazi Party formed
The National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or Nazi Party was founded on Feb,24th 1920, the group promoted German pride and anti-semitism, and were not impressed with the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. Nazis are responsible for the murder of over 6 million European Jews during their reign. This is signifigant because it changed millions of lives all around the world. -
Women gained right to vote
On election day in 1920, millions of American women were able to vote for the first time. It took 100 years to be able to get the right to vote. I believe this is important because I think it is our right to be able to vote no matter what gender you are. -
Wall Street Bombing
On a horse drawn wagon, one of the worst terriost attacks in history happened. A wagon with a bomb killed thirty people with one blast, Hundreds were injured and affected because of the bombing. -
Tri-State tornado
Stands as the longest and most deaths from a tornado ever in the United States. Crossing three states that's why it is known as the "tri-state tornado". This is signifigant because it caused the most deaths (695) and most injuries (2027) impacting lives, and destroying everything in its path. -
St Valentines Day Massacre
Gang warfare affected Chicago in the late 1920's, Al Capone the chief gangster at the time sought to get rid of his rivials by shooting them to death in a garage. While the whole thing was not directly linked to Capone, he was generally linked for all of the murders. -
Great Depression
When the stock market crashed the country went into a deep depression. There were food riots, people had little or no money, people were unemployed and this took a great toll on the United States. This event shaped how the stock market is today. -
