    The Magnavox Odyssey "Brown Box"
    The Odyssey, also known as the "Brown Box" was the first video game console ever made. It was made by Ralph H. Baer who is credited as the father of video games. Ralph would later sale the console to Magnavox, selling under the name "The Magnavox Odyssey". The only game on this console was a PONG like game.
  • Atari Sears Tele-Games Pong System

    Atari Sears Tele-Games Pong System
    After seeing the amount of popularity gain by the pong arcade machine, Atari saw an opportunity and took it . Enter the "Atari Sears Tele-Games Pong System". This system would bring the famous "PONG" to homes all around. This console began a race between many companies competing to create the best video game console, resulting in many console being released within a short time span. The only game on this system was PONG.

    During the span of new consoles being released, Atari created a console that would be talked about for generations. The Atari 2600 was created in 1977 and was known by many, with some still being played in homes to this day. Some of its games were even in others such as Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 allowing you to play Pitfall as an easter egg. Famous games played on the Atari 2600 was Pitfall and Yars" Revenge.

    The Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES for short) was a console created by Nintendo and has been remembered and referenced after 37 years. This console was responsible for bringing the name of Mario to light and stardom. Famous games played Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.

    The Sega SG-100 is an important console due to it being Sega's first entry into the home video game console business. Although they weren't famous then, they would soon begin to gain traction due to their very own blue blur, Sonic The Hedgehog. Famous games played on this system were Girl's Garden and Congo Bongo.

    Since they released their first consoles, Nintendo and Sega have been in a console war. In order to combat with Nintendo, Sega released the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Famous games that where played on this console were Sonic: The Hedgehog and ToeJam & Earl.

    The Atari Jaguar was the last console made by the Atari company. The games played the Atari Jaguar are Tempest 2000 and Doom.
