Sarajevo when he was going through town a member of the terrorist group through a grenade at the arch duke but the driver saw the flying object and sped up enough and the archduke and his wife survived. on the way back to the hotel the driver took a wrong turn and on that street was Gavrilo Princip another member of the group who pulled out this pistol and shot the archduke and his wife Sophie and killed them both. -
