Second Battle of Ypres (1915)
From 22, April to 25 May 1915, the first world war saw the second battle of Ypres. The Canadian military engaged in its first significant battle during the Great War. One of the first group of Canadians to offer their services in the war were the man of the first Divisions, who included farmers, lumberjacks, attorneys, industrial workers, company owners, teachers and doctors.
