Italy did invade Ethiopia in 1930. Which created poor and bad colonies groups. -

By 1900 Europe had taken over nearly all of Africa. The only country to remain uncolonized was Ethiopia though Italy did invade the country in 1930. -
Africans suffer
The worst of the colonies established by European countries was the Belgium Congo. However, nearly all Africans suffered under colonial rule as their land was taken, they were forced to work for little or no pay and any attempt to rebel was violently crushed. -
Pan-Africanism
In Ghana in the 1940s Kwame Nkrumah introduced the idea of Pan-Africanism which was a belief in the unity of all Black Africans worldwide. -
White South Africans
In 1948, white South Africans known as Afrikaners made apartheid law. Under apartheid, black South Africans were forced to live and work where whites demanded. Blacks could not marry white people. -
Sudan
Sudan gained its independence from Great Britain in 1956. North part of Africa was more free and had more Independence then the south did. Mainly because the North Government was better than the south Government. -

Independence came to Rwanda in 1962 after which violence broke out and the Hutu took control. -

It took many many many years for most countries to gain independence, but Kenya became independent in 1963. Jomo Kenyatta would become the newly independent Kenya’s first leader. In 1960 Nigeria became independent after a fierce struggle against the British. But even then independence in Africa was still not good. -

Nigeria Suffers
Nigeria suffered from violence among its many ethnic groups, but in 1976 the Igbo people tried to declare themselves independent. They named their new country Biafra. -
Britain grabbed land in the western
Central and Southern Africa while France seized most of West Africa. Germany and Portugal also claimed land in Africa south of the Sahara. -
Rwanda
Rwanda is a small country divided between two enteric groups. 1994 when Hutu began to engage in genocide against the Tutsi people. Between 800,000 to 1 million Tutsi people. -
Arab spring
One of the worlds outcomes of colonialism was it left countries with weak governments. In Libya dictator Muhammad Qaddafi refused to step down. So then that cause war to start to go down. -

In 2013 his government was overwritten by the military. Morsi was imprisoned and his political party was banned. The new government gave more power to the police and military in the new constitution.
