    The 2nd Opium war was a war against the Qing Dynasty between the British Empire and the French Empire, British and French clashed against problems related to the sale of opium to China, leading to a second Qing Dynasty defeat.
  • Convention of Peking

    The Peking Convention was an arrangement between the Qing Dynasty, the United Kingdom, the French Empire and the Russian Empire on three separate treaties. The lease ended and the land was officially ceded to the British and China was supposed to give up the part of Kowloon Peninsula. The agreement also gave the Russian Empire parts of Outer Manchuria
