President Janes Monroe went all the way down the entire Atlantic ocean. He told Europe the side that was his and the side that was their's. -

This was a eastward migration that went from the Cape Colony into the interior modern part of South Africa. The settlers were dutch speakers. -

These were two wars involving Chinese disputes over British trade with China. The British were trading Opium with China which was causing a lot of problems. -
Treaty of Nanjing
This was a peace treaty that ended the first Opium war between the United Kingdom and the Qing dynasty. -
Treaty of Paris
This treaty ended the war with spain. It was a negotiation between the United states and Great Britain. -
Open door policy
This was something created in the desire for the U.S. to have a trading policy with China. It also protected from partiton. -
Second Boer war
The second Boer war was fought betwween the British empire and the two Boer states. The British were over confident and not well prepared and so it made the Boer's fight back. -
Revolution of 1911
This was a revelution that completly overthrew China's last imperial dynasty and then after that the Chinese Republic began.
