The reason that our family moved to america was that we were pushed off of our land by the landlords because another family we haddent payed for a month. A job oppourtunitty for me and my husband was open so we are looking forward to starting a new life. Packing for America - Arivving in Upper New York Bay
In packing for our trip to America we only had a few hours before we had to leave or they would not let us take anything. A few things that we brought included, a few changes of clothes, pictures of family, and a few silver peices to sell in Ameruca.
Due to the lack of money in our family we have had to travelin the lowe class. As we arrived in the Upper New York Bay, we realized that we had a short trip to were we will be working, it was just a few miles away from the bay. -
Jobs - Getting Ready for the Land Race
Life in a dress store is not as easy as it seems, many people have already been fired in there first week. In this job, you must order dresses, hang them up, and be able to sew them if need be. My husband on the other hand is not having a great time working at the bar. Many people are rude to him and he deserves way better.
Tomorrow is the Land Race, my husband went looking for the right place for us to sellte and he found the perfect place. It includes a pond, flat land, and a beautiful veiw. -
Claiming Land - Losses
In the time since the Land Race my family has indeoured some good, and some very bad. My husband is not burried undergrowned due to an agry settler. This man claimed that we stole his land and right then he shot my husband. My husband was are rock he caught and cleaned our food, he also was almost done building our house right before he was shot.
The good thing that has happened is that we have claimed our dream land and our house is almost done being built. -
House Burned
Another tragety has stuck are family like a pound of brick, jelous people have burned down our house. All of this beacuse of a beautiful peice of land. Now that are house has burned we have to go from land to land in hope that someone will come along and let us build on there land for 10 dolars. -
Finding Somewhere to Stay
During this time of poverty in our family we have walked miles and milles trying to find realitives to take us in and we finally did. We know live with my sister and her family.
