Naturalization Act of 1790
The Naturalization Act of 1790 was the first set of laws for citizens and immigrants across the entire country. This allowed the people who were not citizens but had been in the United States for two years to apply for their citizenship. Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 made it illegal for undocumented workers to be hired. All employers had to check everyone of their employees status regarding immigration. This act included and amnesty program. Illegal Immigration and Immigrant Responsibility Act
The Illegal Immigration and Immigrant Responsibility Act enriched border patrol. SB 1070 AZ Immigration Law
This law created punishments for employers or people who were housing illegal immigrants. People could face serious charges if they provided a home or a job for people who were in the United States illegally. Proposition 200 Revoked
