The legislators made it, so that police officers could question a person's citizenship when they were detained by a police officer. The legislation also said that a person's citizenship would be judged by an appointed federal officer in the end.

    At the university of Texas a government official gives a speech on border security. He says through the southwest border initiative the southwestern border of the U.S. has been strenghthened. He says the intiative was put into effect 2 years prior by the Obama adminstration, to keep drugs out of the US, and to keep away the Mexican cartel war.
