  • Hobbes Publishes Leviathan

    Leviathan is a book published in 1651 and its written by Thomas Hobbes. It starts off with Hobbes's thoughts of human nature and ends with political philosophy. His philosophy was that it was good to have a bloodline behind government. This had an impact on history because in result the return of monarchy happened 7 years after the book was published.   • Locke Publishes Two Treatises on Government

    The Two Treatises were disagreements against Filmer who believed every man is born a slave. The second Treatises is Locke's solution to the political upheaval. These took place in 1680 to 1690. The result in this was that it created conflict in the middle of England's political drama involving Charles II.   • Montesquieu Published the Spirit of the Laws

    The Spirit of the Laws was a treatise on political theory first published anonymously. This was published in 1748 by Montesquieu. The results of his was governments presented corruption.   • Rousseau Publishes the Social Contract

    The Social contract is a contract that expresses views of a persons morals. Political obligations are dependent upon agreement among then to form society in which they live. This was published in 1762. The impact it had was the work criticized religions so it was band in France.   • Beccaria Publishes on Crimes and Punishments

    This book was mostly against violence to on another rather than a whole group violence. This was published in 1764. The impact it had on history was it discouraged citizens to not commit crime. This helped and it was created after all of the other laws had been created.
