Kate kills the sheriff starting her criminal career robbing people in the deserts of Texas one of her victims is Stanley's Grandfather -
Kate dies
Kate is confronted by Trout and Linda Walker who demand the treasure she stole from Stanley's Great Grandfather but she tells them they can dig for it and then is bitten by a yellow spotted lizard -
Shoes fall out of the sky
CLyde Livingston's shoes fall out of the sky and into Stanley's hands who doesn't know they were stolen until he is arrested -
Scentencing
Stanley is found guilty and given a choice jail or Camp Green Lake?
he chooses to go to camp green lake -
Introduction to camp
Brought to camp on a bus where he first meets Mr. Sir who is one of the leaders at camp. he learns that every day he must dig a hole 5 feet deep and five feet wide and if anything interesting is found to report it to the counselors -
Stanley finds the gold tube
Stanley finds a tube with the letters KB engraved on it but gives it to x-ray because he is the popular kid at camp the boys plan to show it to the counselors tomorrow to get more time off. -
The Big Dig
After showing the tube to the warden she makes the boys (except x-ray who "found it") dig the hole even larger she gives up Stanley wonders how to tell the warden where it was actually found. -
The sunflower seed incident
Magnet, one of the inmates at green lake, steals Mr. Sir's bag of sunflower seeds and tosses them around to the rest of the group after he leaves but Stanley spills the bag in his hole and ends up taking the blame fir the whole thing. As a result of this Mr Sir doesn't give Stanley much water for a while -
Zero leaves camp
The campers in Stanley's group all get in a fight that gets the wardens attention who starts insulting zero's intelligence this leads to one of the counselors, Mr Pendanski, giving him a shovel saying its all he is good for then zero smacks hi across the face with it before running away into the desert -
Stanley Leaves Camp
Worrying about Zero, Stanley steals the water truck that goes around to all the groups but crashes it into a hole causing him to have to go on foot in search of zero. -
Stanley finds zero
Stanley finds zero under the remains of the boat that Sam was on when he died in the boat crash -
Stanley and Zero go to God's Thumb
Inspired by his great grandfather, Stanley and zero go towards god's thumb and climb the mountain finding water that flows upstream and onions they rest here before planing their next move the curse is lifted now because zero is the descendant of the gypsy who cursed Stanley's great great grandfather and this action mimics the promise that was supposed to happen -
The boys find the treasure
Stanley ad Zero descend the mountain digging on last hole before leaving camp they go to the hole where Stanley found the gold tube and find the treasure of Stanley's great grandfather stanley's lawyer shows up that day as well telling Stanley he is free to go along with Zero because his file was destroyed when he left
