  • First Computer Programmer - Ada Lovelace

    On April 30, 1993, four years after publishing a proposal for “an idea of linked information systems,” computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee released the source code for the world's first web browser and editor.

    Google was officially launched in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin to market Google Search, which has become the most used web-based search engine.

  • Facebook Launched

    Facebook is a social networking service originally launched as FaceMash on October 28, 2003, before launching TheFacebook on February 4, 2004.

  • Youtube was founded

    By the time YouTube was officially launched on December 15, 2005, it was serving more than two million video views each day. By January 2006 that number had increased to more than 25 million views.
