President Snow Visits Katniss
He visits Katniss in her home and threatens her, her friends, and her family. -

Victory Tour
They visit all the districts and make appearances there. This was necessary for all winning tributes. It was the first time Katniss and Peeta witnessed any of the other districts. They learned about many things that were not available in their home district. -
Quarter Quell
The Quarter Quell is announced and Katniss and Peeta learn that they are being sent back to the games in a tournament of victors. -
Training
Peeta and Katniss both earn high scores during their training. Katniss stands out the most by hanging a dummy with the name Seneca Crane painted on it. -
Cinna
Right before Katniss leaves to go up the arena, guards come in an beat up Cinna with batons. This was done to try and get Katniss off her game. -
Alliance
Right at the start of the games,in the Cornucopia, Katniss learns that Finnick is part of her alliance. She shes a bracelet that he is wearing and realizes Haymitch must of given it to him so that Katniss knew to trust him. -
The Fog
The fog is the first twist the game maker adds to the arena. While Katniss is set up as the watch for the first night she sees fog. She puts her hand in and learns that it is poisonous. Katniss screams and tells everyone to run. This is when Mags, Finnick's mentor, dies. -
Forcefield
Katniss learns that the whole arena is inside a forcefield when Peeta runs into it. This realization comes in handy later on. -
Johanna, Beetee, and Wiress
Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick meet Johanna, Beetee, and Wiress. They form a greater alliance and Beetee is said to be holding a "special weapon." -
The Plan
The team schemes about how to take out the remaining tributes who aren't their allies. Beetee has a plan to electrocute the arena with his handy coil of wire. The group gets separated while they're putting his into action, and chaos ensues. -
Explosion
Katniss is brutally wounded during the chaos but still realizes a significant part of Beetee's plan. She winds the end of Beetee's wire around one of her arrows and shoots it into the force field. The arena explodes. -
Confusion
Katniss is barely conscious enough to realize that she's been taken out of the arena. When she finally comes to, she's in an aircraft with Plutarch and Haymitch, along with Finnick, Beetee, and some others. -
Rebellion
She learns that this was part of a master plot, and that there is a serious group of rebels, based out of District 13, working to take down the Capitol. She learns that all of the effort in the Quell was to protect her, because she's the rallying point for the entire rebellion and the face of the revolution. -
Where's Peeta?
Peeta hasn't been saved from the arena. The Capitol got him, which is scary. Katniss goes into dark despair. -
District 12
Gale tells Katniss that there was an attack by the Capitol on District 12 but he got her mother and sister out in time. The book ends with Gale saying "Katniss, there is no District 12."
