He most likely was a real person who went though changed for the better and his story was an exaggerated version of his life. -

Approx. 1900BCE. Abraham lived in Ur and was told by God to go to Israel. In his wife and his elderly age they had a son named Isaac. God told Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac but at the last moment he spared him. -

1792-1750 BCE. Hammurabi lived in Ur. He was a king that was chosen by the god Shamash. He made the first code of laws that are still used today. Not so long after his death his empire collapsed and now it is gone. -

Approx. 1700-1280 BCE. Joseph was Jacob's favorite son. His brothers got so jealous that they faked his death and sold hi into slavery. When Joseph got out of slavery he moved back with his family and forgived them for what they had done. Lastly he moved the Isrealites to Egypt during the middle kingdom. -

587 BCE. This war started with the people not liking the king. It got so bad that the people started revolting aginst him. The people of Jerusalem lost and had to leave there land.
