The Dark Ages was from 500 to 1500 CE. They were a categorization commonly used to describe the period between the fall of the Roman Empire and the beginning of the Italian Renaissance and the Age of Exploration. -

Domesday Book
The Domesday Book was commissioned in December 1085 by William the Conqueror. The Domesday book was created because William needed to raise taxes to pay for his army and so a survey was set in motion to assess the wealth and and assets of his subjects throughout the land. -

Trial by Jury
Numerous amounts of people were trialed to prove their innocence. King Henry II decided to allow average community people to be a part of what was called the Royal Court. Citizens promised to be trusted and properly investigate and accuse only people for a legitimate reason. The group then reaches a verdict and decides whether or not the defendant is innocent or guilty. This was called trail by jury. -

Arrive at valley of mexico
The Aztecs arrive in the Valley of Mexico. Aztecs settled at a place where they saw an eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its mouth. They took this as a sign from their god that they should settle there. -

The Spanish begin to rebuild the city of Tenochtitlán. It will be called Mexico City and will be the capital of New Spain. -
