Sumer is located in Southern Iraq (Mesopotamia). Sumer is really close to the Tigris and Euphrates River which makes good irrigation and crops. Sumerian government was based on a monarchy. The Sumerians major accomplishments were the wheel and writing. -

King Hammurabi was the sixth ruler of ancient Babylon. King Hammurabi of Babylonia lived in the capital of Babylonia, Babylon. Babylonia is in southern Mesopotamia which means "land between two rivers". The Code of Hammurabi is a well-preserved Babylonianlan code, It was important because Hammurabi wanted peace and justice in his kingdom, so he created these rules. -

In the Old Testament, the son of the patriarch Jacob. He was favoured by his father, and his brothers became bitterly jealous when he was given a resplendent coat of many colors (literally, coat with flowing sleeves). They sold him into slavery in Egypt, telling Jacob he had been killed by a wild beast. In Egypt Joseph gained favour with the pharaoh and rose to high office. -
Moses, the Exodus from Egypt, and the Ten Commandments

Moses was an early leader of the Hebrews and probably the most important figure in Judaism. He was raised in the court of the Pharaoh in Egypt, but then led the Hebrew people out of Egypt. Moses is said to have talked with God. The Exodus is the story of the enslavement of the Israelites in Egypt following the death of Joseph, their departure under the leadership of Moses, the revelations at Sinai, and their wanderings in the wilderness up to the borders of Canaan. -

A room whose walls are completely covered with stone carvings about eight feet high. The first scene shows the invading army marching in, then comes the bloody battle around the besieged town, and then we move on to the dead, the injured, and the columns of passive refugees. And finally we see the victorious king presiding triumphantly over his conquest. -
