Humans began moving outside of Africa starting about 70,000-100,000 years ago. Some where between 70,000-100,000 years ago Homo Sapiens began migrating from the African continent and populating parts of Europe and Asia.

Nearly 100,000 years ago, we faced extinc- tion as our populations dwindled to 10,000. Today, the world human population is approaching 7 billion.

The hides could then be cured as leather. They were important because without these tools they would have died long ago.

The Neolithic followed the Paleolithic Period age of chippedstone tools and preceded the Bronze Age. It is characterized by the beginning of farming, and the domestication of animals.
