Hugh John Macdonald was born in Kingston, Ontario. He was born on the 13th of March in 1850. His parents were John A Macdonald and Isabella Clark. -
The railway act
This wasn't such a big year for me since I am only 1. But, in this year, the railway act was placed from west to east -
Moved to Toronto
I grew up in Kingstom, but then, when I was 6, I moved to Toronto. -
Hugh's mother dies
Right now, I am 7 and this is a very sad year for me. Today, my mother, Isabella Mary died. She was very sick after she gave birth to me. She died on December 28th, 1857 -
Hugh Moved back to Kingston
After the dealth of my mother, I moved back to kingston leaving my father in Toronto. For my formative years I stayed with my fathers sister, Margaret and her husband. -
John became the attorney general.
In 1858, Hugh's father, John A Macdonald became the Attorney General of the provence. -
Charlottetown Conference
Today my dad went to Charlottetoen for a conference. I don't know when he is going to return. -

When I was young, I showed interest in the militia. I spend the summer of 1866 in the 14th Battalion volunteer Militia Rifles. -

Right now I'm 17 and today my father was announced Prime Minister of the new nation. I'm so proud of him! -

Hugh Marries
The year is 1876 and I have married a woman named Jean Murray King. She was born in Toronto. But, unfortuanatly, my father hasn't agreed with this marrage just because she is older, and a roman catholic. But, eventually, he did give his blessing for Jean and I to get married. -
Hugh gets a daughter
My wife Jean, gave birth to a beautiful daughter. We have named her Isabella Mary. Or " Daisy" as we like to call her. -
Jean dies
I have terrible news. Since of the birth of Isabella Mary or Daisy, Jean has gotten very sick and has had fragile health. But today, lugubriously, she died. -
Moved again
In the year 1882, I moved to Winnipeg. And, in Winnipeg, I started a law practice with my friend. It was called " Macdonald, Tupper, Tupper and Dexter. -
Hugh Remarries
A few years after Jean's death, Hugh remarries to a woman named Agnes Gertude Vankoughnet, whom is also from Toronto. Her father also happends to be very good friend to Hugh's father -
Hugh and Agnes have another child
The year is 1885, and I have exciting news! Today, my wife Agnes gave birth to a baby boy. We have decided to name him John Alexander, or as we call him, "Jack". -
Hugh becomes a captain
Today, I was appointed the captain in the 90th Battalion of the winnipeg Rifles. How exciting!! -
The Queens Council
5 years after I was appointed a captain, I was appointed into the Queens counsil annual Royal Honours list. -
My father died
Today I heard a lugubrious news that my dear father has passed away. He died on June 6th, 1891 in Ottawa. -
Dalnavert
I build the " Dalnavert" on 61 Carlton Street in Winnipeg today. -
Hugh's Son passes
Today, was a very dissapointing day. My son, John Alexander who was a law student, passed away due to suger diabetes. He was 19. -
Police , Winnipeg
Today, I was appointed the Police Magistrate for winnipeg. -
I get grandchildren
In 1915, my daghter, Isabella Mary, married a guy named George K. He was a civil engineer. Then, they both had two children named Hugh and Lionel. -
Hugh retires
It is the year 1927 and I retired due to a illness. I also had to amputate my right leg. Sad. -
I Die
A few days after my 79th Birthday, I die. They lay me to rest at the St Johns Cemetary. -
Daisy Dies
Today was a very depressing day, today, my daughter, Isabella Mary, died.
