Frederick Douglass escapes slavery/ Huck runs away

Frederick Douglass escapes slavery and flees to New York. Huck runs away from his father and fakes his death. These points are important because it shows how both Frederick adn Huck couldnt stay in there current situation and escaped.

Frederick Douglas escapes slavery and marries Anna Murray the same year. Huck meets up with Jim on Jackson island. This is signifigant because they both meet up with intrumental charachters that influence them at this point.
