How it began.
My Mom worked and retired from the Clark county Library so if their was one thing I had in my house it was books. -
Reading Time.
In elementary school everyday I had reading time. This was not required reading from the school, this was required reading from my parents. The T.V. was cut off and I read for 30min. -
Class Reader
In 5th grade my teacher Ms. Kiser loved the way I read. She told me I was loud, I pronounced my words clear and I read at a great speed. so anytime she needed someone to read she's always call on me. -
Thriller Please!
I have no idea where my love for Goosebumps came from but I couldn't get enough of these books. They were very easy to read and It normally didn't take long for me to finish them at all. -
Too busy to read so I thought!
Once I got to Middle school my passion to read slowly but left until I joined orchestra and was introduced to an entire new level of reading and that was reading musical notes. -
High school Days
When I got to High school I became very interested in ready autobiographies. -
Church Announcements
When I was in 10th grade my church chose me to read the announcements once a month during our church service and that continued for 2 years. -
My Job at the Library
when I was a Junior in High school I got my first job putting away books at the public library. -
Walk two Moons
I absolutely loved this book! it was a required reading that I fell in love with. -
Read..Read..Read!
I took a class here at NSC that required me to read over 100 books from different genres before the semester was over. -
Teaching Reading is hard
I got a position through the school district as a Resource teachers assistant at a Elementary school. I never realized how hard it was to teach someone to read until I started there.
