The slave trade began in the 17th century and one part of the slave trade was called The Triangle Trade. the ships loaded up with sugar, tobacco and cotton and sailed back to England. England became so powerful because they could manufacture expensive goods from the cheap raw material from America. We do know that the slaves used many English words, which they mixed with their native language.the Barbados variant is closer to standard English while Jamaica has a more distinct local language. -

Before 1788 there were approximately 250 languages spoken throughout australia. And an estimated population of 750000 people. About 780 English people were not free people, Many of them were criminals They committed crime in England and they send them to australia and never let them back to England. They didnt know how the climate was so this led food problems and many people nearly starved to death. Another word which they still use in Austalia is pom, pommie, poms and Pommis. -

Queen Elizabeth startet the East India company in 1600 to develop trade between Britain and India. English became the language used for trading. Many of the native indien people thought that if they learned English a new world whould open. The popularity of English has helped to create two new language, Binglish, hindlish. English has become the language of the internet in india and now is becoming even more powerful. But not everybody wants to speak English.
