Germany Invades Poland
This was the beginning of World War II. Germany advanced into Warsaw, forcing Poland to surrender on September 28, 1939. -
Auschwitz Concentration Camp Established
It was the largest of its kind and included three main camps. They all included forced labor. -
The Liberation of Auschwitz
As Soviet forces approached the concentration camp, SS guards forced 60,000 prisoners to march from Auschwitz, and many would die from hunger and exposure. -
Soviet Army Liberates Auschwitz
They entered abd liberated about 7,000 prisoners.
