The Nazis walled in Podgorze, Poland. This is were Yanek lives. The germans are forming a surrounding around this town to shut out all Jewish people. Alll jewish people are located in a ghetto all throughout Poland. -

Yanek got herded into a train full of jews, just like himself. The train was headed to the Plaszow concentration camp. He only had himeself to hold up the family generation, so he thought... until he started working while being assigned Yanek's work detail in the concentration camp, he noticed a firmilar face, it was his Uncle Moshe! Finally he could be comforted by someone he loved. -
freedom!!
Yanek woke up to a no Nazi zone, soldiers were coming toward the camp. But they werent germans, it was American soldiers! They brought Yeank back to Karkow, and he found his cousin. Yanek finally made it to America, New York City. Yanek Gruener survived a total of ten concentration camps.
