Dachau Opened
The first concetration camp, "Dachau" was opened. Many opposing political parties were put there first, followed by Jews. -
Neremburg Laws
Anyone Jewish or related to Jewish people were required to wear a patch that segregated them from the rest of the German people. -
Kristallnacht
After the killing of a German diplomat by th ehands of a Jew, people attacked Jewish churches and created chaos. -
Germany Invades Poland
Germany invades and occupies Poland to begin WWII. Germany forces Polish Jews out of their homes and into ghettos where they are harshly treated. -
Auschwitz Concentration Camp Established
Germany begins experimenting at Auschwitz. They wanted to find out the best way to carry out their genocide. They would experiment ways to kill on Russian POWs. They decided gas was a great way to carry out the Holocaust so Germany ordered a a mass shipment of rat poisen. -
"Final Solution" Begins
Germany began rounding up Jews, Gypsis, Homosexuals, and other social groups and placing them in ghettos all around Poland and Germany (mostly Poland) -
Liberation of Auschwitz
Russians pushy the German front line back and reach Auschwitz, freeing the remaining prisoners.
