    Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated every year on Dr, King's birthday! Dr. King was a leader for African American's, and he helped them to protest for their rights in a peaceful manner. What a leader he was!

    President's Day is celebrated every year in February. It is celebrated on our first President, George Washington's, birthday! In this year of 2015 it will fall on Monday, February 16th! President's Day is a day each year where we the peopel of the United States take time to be thankful and appreciative for all of our leaders... Past, present, and future!

    Memorial Day is celebrated every year in May. This day began being celebrated shortly after the civil war ended, because of all the lives it took. Memorial Day is set aside each year to remember the soliders who lost their lives fighting for our freedom, and making sure that our country will be safe!

    Independence Day is celebrated in the United States every year on July 4th. This is because this is the day when the United States gained their independence from the British Government, and became free to govern ourselves.
  • October- Halloween

    Hallowen is a holiday that we take part in every October 31st, because as old legends and tales are told, the 31st of October is "All Hallows Eve". Children dress up in costumes and go door to door, a tradition called "trick-or-treating", where neighbors, friends, and family give candy to those who have dressed up to celebrate the night!

We celebrate Veteran's Day because we want to make sure we thank our Veteran's for serving for us, and remember those who lost their lives in order to make sure we would be free!

    Thanksgiving is a holiday that is always celebrated on the last Thursday of November! This day is celebrated because of the Pilgrim's that came to American and celebrated Thanksgiving with the Indians, and showed them their thanks for helping them establish life in America!

    Christmas is a holiday celebrated every year on December 25th, with the day and evening before being celebrated as Christmas Eve.. This day people attend church services, eat with family, and if little boys and girls have been good all year... Open presents sent from Santa Claus himself!
