First game
First game of hockey was played in Montreal,Canada. -
Rules
The new rules for the game of ice hockey came in the year 1879 for five forwards, three havles two men back and a goaltender(tendy). -

The first amateur hockey league was formed in Kingston,Ontario in 1880. -

Ice hockey then traveled to the United States in 1893. -

Ice hockey started to become know in parts of Europe and its starting to be popular. -

IIHF
In 1908 Belgium, Great Britain, France, Switzerland and Bohemia formed what is known today as the International Ice Hockey Federation. -

The new sticks
The sticks began to become formed with metals. in 21st century there have been 3 types of sticks wooden, composite and aluminum. -
