    Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau. Born into a middle-class family, his father, Alois Hitler, was a customs agent. His mother, Klara Pölzl, was Alois's third wife. Hitler was the couple's third child. Since Hitler's parents were cousins, they had a lot of paperwork for the marriage. Of Alois and Klara's five children, only Adolf and his sister Paula reached adulthood. Hitler's father also had a son, Alois Jr., and a daughter, Angela, with his second wife.

    In 1933, Von Hindenburg, resigned and Hitler became the president.“It seems like a dream: the Wilhelmstraße is ours”, Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels later writes in his diary.  Hitler was not elected by the German people, but he did come to power legitimately.

    FEBRUARY : The German Reichstag is destroyed by fire
    MARCH : The Enabling Act passed—powers of legislation pass to Hitler’s cabinet for four years, making him virtual dictator.
    APRIL : Communist party banned.
    MAY : Socialists, Trade Unions and strikes banned.
    OCTOBER : Hitler withdraws from the League of Nations.

    In 1940, The Nazis occupy Denmark, Norway, Holland, Belgium and France. Romania and Yugoslavia are invaded.

    Nowadays hitler is known as a dictator of a Nazy party. He shot death al Jew people and also people that didn't have his ideas. He had a symbol that is called the swastika. The swastika has a long history. It was in use at least 5,000 years before Adolf Hitler designed the Nazi flag. The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit svastika, which means "good fortune" or "welfare."
