  • Charter of Right and Freedom

    The Charter of Right and Freedom was an event that was important to Canadians. The people involved with the event is Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau and the Queen. The event is that Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau relocated the Charter of Right and Freedom. The reason for this being a important event is because the Charter of Rights and Freedom is the basic rights and freedom of all Canadian that are considered essential to Canada.
  • Creation of Nunavut

    The Creation of Nunavut was an event that is known in Canada and in important to Canadians and the Inuit people. The people involved with the event is Canadians and the Inuit people. The event is that Nunavut separated from the Northwest Territories to now become the newest Canadian territory. When this happened the Inuit has begun talks with the Canadian government about creating a new territory called Nunavut.
  • Montreal Massacre

    The Montreal Massacre was an event that is known in Canada and is important to Canadians. The person involved with the shooting is named Marc Lepine, this man walked into an engineering classroom at the University of Montreal Ecole Polytechnique. Marc yelled at the men to leave the building, and started to fire at the women calling the women "feminists" and that he hated them. As he continued around the building for 20 minutes, shooting 28 and killing 14 before committing suicide.
  • Oka Crisis

    The Oka Crisis was an event that is known in Canada and in important to Canadians and the Mohawks. The people involved with the event is Army and the Mohawks, protesters. The event was a 78-day standoff between the two groups, on the Mohawk burial ground.
  • 2008 Apology

    The 2008 Apology was an event that is known in Canada and in important to Canadians and Aboriginals. The people involved with the event is Aboriginal and Stephen Harper. Stephen Harper has gone up to the House of Commons to talk and apologizes to the Aboriginal people who were affected by the event long ago, where the white people forcefully have taken the children of the Aboriginals to put them into residential school to try and force them to assimilation them.
