This event was after the Lewis and Clark expedition, when pioneers moved west. After James Marshall discovered gold at his mill in California, people rushed to find more that would make them rich. -
Sinking of the Titanic
On that day, the Titanic was coming to the end of her maiden voyage, she struck an iceberg at 11:40 pm, and went down in two hours. About 705 people survived. Though said to be unsinkable at the time, she was rated second largest ocean liner wreck in the world. -
Bombing of Pearl Harbor
On this tragic day, Japan air planes dropped bombs on the US ships in Hawaii. After this, America declared war on Japan. -
First man on Moon
On this day, Neil Armstrong put foot on the moon. What a happy day for America. -
September 11
On this day Afghanistan planes crashed New York world trade center towers and the pentagon in Pennsylvania. Tragically, over 2,800 people died that day. Survivors today still witness the horrible events of that day. -
