Magna Carta
The Magna Carta was a charter that promised certain rights to the Berrons. Those rights include protection of church rights, protection from illegal inprisonment, and fair fudal payments. -

The document set out liberties that subjects had and the king cound not infringe. This also took three acts of the Mangna Carta away. -
English Bill of Rights
The English Bill of Rights followed the Glorious Revolution .The bill limited the power of the crown and set guidelines for parlament. -
Albany Plan of Union
This was the first time uniting the colonies was formally suggested. Such an idean came from Ben Franklin. -
Shay's Rebellion
Shay's Rebellion was an uprising in Massachuttes against the United States. Shay belived they were subject to economic terrorism. -
Boston Massacre
The Massacre began when a mob formed around a British official. A total of five unarmed men were killed in the occurance. -
Boston Tea Party
The Sons of Liberty carried out a plan to get back at England for the tea tax. A group of revelutionaries dumped the tea into the harbor to send a message. -

Was responsible for organizing the war effort. Was called in responce to untolerable taxes. -
Second Continental Congress
The Second Continental Congresswas responsible for the Revelutionary War effort. They also drafted the Decleration of Independence. -
Decleration of Independence
The document formally declared independence from Great Britain. The day it was signed became the national birthdate. -
Articles of Confederation
The Articles of Confederation officially made the claim that the United States were a confederation. It was not officially signed by all thirteen state untill 1781 -
Virgina Plan
The Virgina Plan was drawn up by Virginan deligates. The plan set up the idea for a population based reselution. -
New Jersey plan
This was in responceto the Virgina Plan. The plan called for two houses of congree. -
Philadelphia Convention
The new Americans were forming the new government after living under the Articles of Confederation. Changes include the drafting of the Constitution and election of George Washington as president.
