    Joan of Arc was born during 1412 in Domremy-la-Pucella France, by her parents Isabelle Romee and Jacques d'Arc. Her mother, Isabelle, was responsible for influencing a great Christian faith towards Joan's formative years. The father, Jacques, was the public official who collected taxes and organized a local defense. The event is a major part of history for it is the start of Joan who will later become the first female general to win the greatest battle in France. (Williamson 1)

    The explorer Prince Henry, became the first European to explore Africa. During his stay in his office, he directed many successful expeditions to navigate Africa while also being able to reach India. In 1425, Henry tried capturing the Canary Islands but there were already under control from Castilian. Thus resulting in 1431another Portuguese expedition. ("European exploration of Africa" 1)

    Many Catholics lost their lives on July 30, 1419, for trying to defend Jan Hus. Jan Hus wanted the Czech citizens to be the masters of their own country which was an opposition to the king of Bohemia. Jan Hus went to southern Bohemia to continue his devotion for the Czechs'. During 1414 Council of Constance summoned Jan Han where to be only be tricked by naming him as a heretic. 1415 Jan Hus was burnt. ("Virtual Museum of Protestantism" 1)

    The Celebi Sulton Mehmed Mosque began to be built at 1309 by Sultan Bayezid but was halted after his death during the Battle of Ankara.     During 1418 Opera del Duomo made a competition for the person who could create the dome for the Florence Cathedral with a prize of 200 gold florins. The highest architects during the time period came to Florence to seek their chance of winning the prize. Filippo Brunelleschi won while appointing a co-superintendent, Lorenzo Ghiberti.     1420 the construction of the Forbidden City was completed. The Forbidden City was first started by Zhu Di who was the 4th son of Ming Dynasty. Zhu Di wished to solidify his power, thus he began to move the capital as well the army to Beijing. Once at Beijing the new heart of the empire became to form, The Forbidden City. The Forbidden City became a home to 24 emperors while also including the families and servants​. ("The Forbidden City" 1)

    The age of 13 (1425) Joan began to hear voices. As stated, it happened during summer during noon located in her father's garden. The first to approach is Saint Micheal, who came to declare Joan shall follow their counsel and be guided towards her destiny to free her country. Later Saint Catherine and Saint Margaret began to guide Joan as well. The reason why this became quite a significant event was for how the saints taught Joan the path on liberating her country.     May 13 1428 Joan made her way to Vaucouleurs to seek a appearance with the captain of the town, Sir Robert de Baudricourt. Joan was denied 2 times after requesting troops from Sir Robert for the continuation of her trip towards Chinion. Hence on the third attempt Joan predicted a future defeat of France near Orleans which won over Sir Robert. By convincing Sir Robert he gave Joan of Arc her own sword, a knight, a squire, and four serving men for her mission. (Map of France and England in 1429 1)

    During 13 known engagements, 9 were victorious by Joan of Arc. Joan strategic ability in placing gun powder artillery, skilled horsemen and skilled swordsmen lead her to many victorious battles where villages would surrender without a fight after just seeing her army.     After securing Orleans Joan convinced Charles to be marched towards Reims so he could be crowned. During their march towards Reim from Gien, it became known as their "Bloodless March". While entering the English territory they managed to capture every town and fortress without shredding any blood, simply by the force of her name. On July 29 Charles was successfully crowned. This now resembles the new king with absolute power will be Charles. (Davidson 52,53)

    August 26 1429 Joan of Arc and the Duke of Alencon were planning an indecisive attack against Paris which were controlled by the English. Their attacks were successful but the budget Charles had, prevailed the attack to continue. October 1429 Joan tried leading a small attack on Saint Pierre Le Loire but failed after a month from shortage of supplies. This would later result Joan from winning any more battles. (Paris Attacked)

    Spring 1430 Joan fell off her house while trying to fend off Burgundian assault. Hence the Burgundians captured Joan of Arc which was kept under their captivity for several months. During Joan of Arc being captive, the Burgundians negotiated with the English. The Burgundians concluded that Joan of Arc would be exchanged to the English for 10,000 francs. Being exchanged to the English would cause many charges placed on Joan that would prevent the king from taking any actions. (Capture and Trial)

    Year 1430 Joan faced three major indictments. The first indictment that was placed on Joan was the accusation of her using magic to be able to hear voices. The second indictment proclaims she didn’t act properly as a women. Dressing up as boy and fighting in a war The third indictment states how she only shows faith to god but not towards the Church Militant. These indictments later brings up to her execution while also preventing the king to take action to save her. (Pernoud 232)

    The failed attempt at Paris bought Joan of Arc reputation towards a negative view from the public. Year 1430 Burgundy threatened 2 regions, to swear her loyalty Joan promised she shall protect the regions thus leaving Charles side to venture into battle. The city of Compiegne where it was under siege by John of Luxembourgh's army, Joan tried evacuating the citizens. This caused an archer strike Joan's horse, causing her to fall off. By falling off the Burgundians captured Joan. ("Joan of Arc" 2)

    The Khmer Empire, an empire that had the largest continuous power in South East Asia which is now known as Cambodia. While the Khmer Empire was still in power, they had strong relationships that strengthed their trades. When Thai invaders conquered Angkor 1431 they moved their capital to Phnom Penh. This later became an important trade center for the Mekong River. Personal issues within the Khmer Empire caused its​ end. (Khmer Empire 1)

    May 30 1431 at the age of 19 Joan of Arc was burned at a stake in Vieux-Marche, Rouen. Once she died from the fire the English once again burnt her dead body to prove the chances of survival were absolutely impossible while also preventing any collection of her ashes.
